On June 4, 1991, 20-year-old Robert Lee Cooper and 16-year-old Wejewn Briston Byers were found shot to death on Poinsett Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department discovered their bodies in the early morning hours, and the victims had died from apparent gunshot wounds.
