Tito Bartolo Walton Jr., a 17-year-old Black male from Charlotte, was shot on the afternoon of May 18, 2025, along the 1200 block of Spring Street near Greenville Park. Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded around 4:20 p.m. to an assault with a deadly weapon call and found Walton suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. Police opened a homicide investigation the same day, identifying th ...
