In the summer of 2025, a young man's life was cut short in a burst of violence in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Alexander Bloodworth, a 21-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Thursday, July 31, 2025. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Navy Drive, where deputies discovered Bloodworth on the ground with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another individual, a female, was also wounded in the shooting.
The investigation into Bloodworth's death led to the arrest of 19-year-old Trivinci Mack of Orangeburg. He was charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. At the time of the shooting, Mack was reportedly out on bond for a separate charge of second-degree domestic violence from earlier in the year. Following his arrest for the shooting, no bond was set, and he was scheduled for a court appearance in September 2025. The motive for the shooting was not immediately released.
