In the winter of 2021, the community of Orangeburg, South Carolina, was shaken by the violent death of 25-year-old Deangelo Bryant. On the night of Friday, December 17th, Bryant, a Black male, and another man, 27-year-old Jamarious Loynes, were found fatally shot. The Orangeburg County Coroner's Office later confirmed that both men died at the scene from gunshot wounds.
