Before dawn on June 4, 2025, Samantha Howells, 52, Female, left home to check on a property in Pittsburgh's Crafton Heights neighborhood. A two-round ShotSpotter alert drew officers to the 1400 block of Chartiers Avenue, where they found Samantha Howells with gunshot wounds inside an SUV, slumped toward an open door. First responders performed CPR and rushed her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 5 a.m. Her name, age, and residence were confirmed by the Allegheny County ...
