Death by Force

On June 28, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio's Hilltop neighborhood, 44-year-old Omar Alvarez, a Hispanic male was shot in the 200 block of South Eureka Avenue shortly after 3:30 p.m. Responding officers found the 44-year-old gravely wounded; medics rushed him to Grant Medical Center, where he died a short time later. Police described the scene near Sullivant Avenue and began canvassing for witnesses and evidence as word of the loss of the 44-year-old man spread through the Hilltop streets.
