Kevin McKinzie, 16, a Black male from Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood, was shot and killed just after 1 a.m. on July 6, 2025, in the city’s Middle Hill/Terrace Village area. Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the 300 block of Addison Street and found Kevin McKinzie, 16, male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and right arm. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but medics pronounced Kevin McKinzie, 16, male, dead at the scene.
