River Collins, 15, a White/Caucasian male from Wake County, was found dead on June 24, 2025, alongside his 13-year-old brother, Jet, and their father, Shannon Collins, after a blaze tore through the family’s home off Rand Road near Garner. Deputies initially arrived for the fire, but investigators soon determined the case was arson and homicide; all three had gunshot wounds, and the fire showed multiple accelerant patterns with more than one point of origin.
