Christopher Jamal Burton, 28, male, was shot in the parking lot of Cross Creek Plaza on Robert Smalls Parkway in Beaufort on the night of Monday, September 29, 2025. Police arrived just before 9 p.m. and found him near the Little Caesars Pizza with multiple gunshot wounds; officers rendered aid until he was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The walls of the Little Caesars building were struck by gunfire, but no other injuries were reported.
