Mitch Innocent, 21, a Black male, was shot on the night of June 26, 2025, in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn, near 9323 Avenue L, after police responded around 10:40 p.m. to a 911 call about an assault in progress. Officers found Mitch Innocent with a gunshot wound to the head and another victim, a 25-year-old man, wounded in the right leg.
