Antonio Devon McDonald, 39, a Black man, was shot on a quiet Tuesday morning in south Durham and died at the scene. Just before 10 a.m. on September 23, 2025, officers were called to Capps Street, off South Alston Avenue, where they found McDonald with gunshot wounds. Police sealed off the block for hours as neighbors gathered, some in tears, while investigators marked evidence in the street and front yards.
