Cortnay Garner-McDougald, a 25-year-old African American male from Durham, North Carolina, was tragically shot in the head on March 25, 2016. The incident occurred near the intersection of Grace Lane and Liberty Street shortly before 10 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found Cortnay lying near the corner, having been shot in the back of the head.
