Ariel Shaunta Eastling, 34, a Black woman from St. Louis, was discovered fatally shot inside a home on the 5100 block of Wells Avenue on May 9, 2025. Police would later identify her as one of three people killed in the residence, a grim scene that drew officers, detectives, and federal agents to the quiet stretch of the Academy neighborhood.
