In the afternoon hours of May 14, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of the 1100 block of Rio Street in the Spanish Lake area of St. Louis County. When the echoes faded, 21-year-old Keshon Parker, a male resident of Florissant, was found with life-threatening gunshot wounds. First responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced deceased. The St.
Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons promptly launched a homicide investigation into the fatal shooting.
Initially, authorities had no suspects in custody and appealed to the public for any information that could lead to an arrest. The investigation, however, quickly gained momentum. Through the piecing together of evidence, including witness statements and video surveillance footage such as that from a Ring camera, detectives were able to identify three individuals believed to be involved in the tragic event. The investigation revealed a coordinated attack where multiple suspects arrived at the location together. Two armed individuals were dropped off by a driver, confronted Parker, and shot him. The driver then circled back to pick up the shooters, and all three fled the scene.
Just a day after the shooting, on May 15, 2025, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office brought formal charges against the three suspects. Briana Davis, 20, of Florissant, Deangelo Morris, 18, of St. Louis, and Christian Parker, 20, of St. Louis, were each charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Following the charges, all three were taken into custody and are being held on a $1 million cash-only bond, with no option for a 10% deposit. The charges filed against them are, at this stage, accusations, and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation is considered ongoing.
