On June 17, 2025, Jody James, 54, female, was found shot to death inside a home on the 700 block of SE 1251 Private Road in the Finey area near Deepwater, Missouri. Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at about 11:33 a.m. after a 911 call reported the shooting; when they arrived, they located Jody James, 54, female, deceased at the scene.
