On January 23, 2025, Sophia Javan Williams, a 36-year-old African American woman and mother of five, was tragically killed in a shooting spree that spanned two states. The incident began in Aurora, Missouri, where 31-year-old Taylor Paige Santiago fatally shot her estranged husband, Troy Huffman. Santiago then drove approximately 50 miles to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, where she entered the home of her ex-boyfriend, Nathan Green, and his partner, Sophia Williams.
