On a summer afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri, a young man's life was tragically cut short. Terrill Ned Gurlly Jr., a 25-year-old Black/African American male, was found deceased on June 21, 2025. The incident occurred in the West End neighborhood, a community rocked by the violent act that unfolded in broad daylight.
At approximately 1:03 p.m., officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call for police in the 5900 block of Plymouth Avenue.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Gurlly lying on the sidewalk. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel. Gurlly, a resident of the 5700 block of Eagle Valley Drive in unincorporated St. Louis County, was found nude.
The Homicide Division of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the shooting. However, authorities have not yet publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the case. The investigation remains open, and law enforcement has appealed to the public for assistance. A reward is being offered for information submitted to CrimeStoppers that leads to a felony arrest.
