In the late hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, a violent incident unfolded in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. Police officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Gregory Boulevard and Walnut Street around 10:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the vicinity. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered a disabled vehicle resting at the intersection. Inside the car, they found 22-year-old Derrick I.
