Death by Force

Pe-ja Campbell, a 19-year-old woman, was killed on May 31, 2025, in Alligator, Mississippi. Deputies with the Bolivar County Sheriff's Department were called to a club in Alligator around 1 a.m. and learned that Campbell had already been taken by private vehicle to Northwest Medical Center in Clarksdale. She was pronounced dead by the time deputies arrived, setting off a homicide investigation that would quickly focus on events inside and outside the club that night.
