In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 31, 2025, tragedy struck in the small town of Alligator, Mississippi, culminating in the death of 19-year-old Pe-ja Campbell. A native of nearby Mound Bayou, Campbell was at a local club when a shooting erupted around 1 a.m.

Responding to the call, deputies from the Bolivar County Sheriff's Department arrived at the club to find that Campbell had already been transported by a private vehicle to Northwest Medical Center in Clarksdale. Tragically, ...
