On the evening of May 9, 2025, 23-year-old Evan Robert Lynch, a male from Livingston, Louisiana, was shot at the Doyle High School baseball field, a park tucked behind Doyle Elementary off McLin and Range Roads. Police converged after reports of gunfire and soon tracked a vehicle off Red Oak Road near Texas Street; inside, they found Evan Robert Lynch with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
