A woman is found deceased at her business
In the winter of 1958, the community of Barre, Vermont, was unsettled by a brutal and unresolved crime. On the afternoon of Wednesday, February 19th, Doris E. Baker, a 45-year-old wife and mother of two, was discovered lifeless in the family business, the Floor Covering Store, Inc. A customer, John A. Corrigan, entered the store at approximately 4:40 p.m. to pick up a linoleum order and found the premises empty.
