On a Wednesday night in Greenwood, Mississippi, 41-year-old Demetrius McClain was fatally shot. The incident, which also resulted in the death of 48-year-old Lasine McKinnon, occurred on July 9, 2025. McClain had reportedly driven to McKinnon's home, and the two men were sitting together in a car in the 300 block of West Monroe when the shooting took place.
