Just after 2:30 a.m. on August 24, 2025, police were called to the 2700 block of Marcus Avenue in St. Louis’ Greater Ville neighborhood, where they found Wilbert Rodgers III, 38, male, on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken by EMS to a hospital and later pronounced dead. Authorities identified Wilbert Rodgers III, 38, male, as a resident of Wellston, Missouri.
