On August 24, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Facio, 33, a man, was shot near Sixth Street and Park Avenue in the Independence Plaza neighborhood. Officers were dispatched just after 7 p.m., found him gravely wounded, and medics rushed him to a hospital, where he died just before 10 p.m. Police later publicly identified him as the victim.
