Hispanic male Mark Facio, 33, was fatally shot on the evening of Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the Independence Plaza neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred just after 7:00 p.m. near the intersection of Sixth Street and Park Avenue. Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Facio suffering from gunshot wounds.
