Kane Taddese, 24, male, was shot and killed in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 24, 2025. Police were first called a little after 4 a.m. to 11th and Grand on reports of gunfire and were directed two blocks south to a surface parking lot near 13th and Grand, steps from the Power & Light District. There, officers found multiple victims; one man was pronounced dead at the scene and four others were rushed to area hospitals, where a second man later died.
