On August 24, 2025, Aaliyah Perkins, age 13, female, was found dead in a Springfield, Missouri home after first responders arrived for a structure fire on West Lombard Street. Fire crews entered 3307 W. Lombard around 1:37 p.m. and located three people inside with apparent gunshot wounds: Aaliyah Perkins, age 13, female; her mother, Jessica Parnell, age 35, female; and Jessica’s husband, Ryan Parnell, age 40, male.
