He was named as 48-year-old Dameio Milton, a Black / African American male from Jackson, Mississippi. In the deep hours of Saturday, August 16, 2025, gunfire broke the quiet outside Club Metro on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Jackson police said the shooting happened just after 2:00 a.m.; Milton was rushed to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. Two women were also shot and were expected to recover, according to officials.
