Sudais Abdi Omar

On the evening of June 6, 2025, 15-year-old male Sudais Abdi Omar was shot in the parking lot outside the Best Buy outlet at Northtown Mall in Blaine, Minnesota. First responders were dispatched around 5:13–5:15 p.m.; they found the teenager gravely wounded and transported him to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, where he died. Authorities later identified him as a Brooklyn Park resident and freshman at Osseo High School. The mall went into a brief lockdown as officers secured the area.
