In a tragic turn of events on July 15, 2025, David Earl Connors, a 52-year-old male from Simi Valley, California, was shot and killed at a residence just south of Hamilton, Montana. The incident, which has been described as an isolated event by the Ravalli County Sheriff, stemmed from an altercation between Connors and a Hamilton resident. There was no ongoing threat to the public following the shooting.
