In the quiet community of Hamilton, Montana, the lives of Michael Robert Shook, a 34-year-old White/Caucasian male, and his family were irrevocably shattered on the evening of December 12, 1985. An intruder, later identified as the prime suspect Wayne Nance, forced his way into their home. The chilling encounter began when Nance, armed with a gun and a knife, announced himself to the couple's four-year-old son as "Conan the Barbarian" before pushing past him.
