On a summer evening in Shreveport, Louisiana, 19-year-old Edgar Villa was caught in the crossfire of a shootout at Ford Park on June 22, 2025. The park was crowded with over 100 people when the violence erupted, leading to the fatal shooting of the young man. Edgar succumbed to his injuries the following day, on June 23, 2025. A loving son, brother, and grandson, he was also an organ donor, a final act of giving in a life cut short.
