In the early hours of a Monday morning in Baton Rouge, a verbal dispute escalated into a fatal encounter that ended the life of 27-year-old Marion Griffin. The incident unfolded around 2:16 a.m. on June 23, 2025, in the 11,000 block of Longridge Avenue.

During the argument, Griffin was shot. He was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The individual suspected of firing the weapon fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
