A night of violence in Baton Rouge ended in the death of 39-year-old Norris Edward Robinson Jr. and left his teenage daughter wounded. The shooting occurred on the evening of Friday, April 12, 2024, on Sycamore Street. When police arrived at the scene shortly after 9:30 p.m., they discovered both Robinson and his daughter had sustained gunshot wounds.
Both victims were immediately transported to local hospitals for treatment. Tragically, Norris Robinson succumbed to his injuries.
His daughter was admitted to a children's hospital for her injuries.
In the days following the shooting, an arrest was made in connection with the fatal incident. Terrell Walker, 21 years old, was taken into custody by the Baton Rouge Police Department. Authorities have stated that Walker is the cousin of Norris Robinson. The preliminary investigation suggests that a physical altercation between the two men escalated, leading to the shooting. Walker now faces charges of murder and attempted murder for his alleged role in the crime that claimed the life of his cousin and injured his young relative.
