The evening of September 30, 2025, broke hard and sudden near Gardner Avenue and North Chouteau Avenue in northeast Kansas City, Missouri. Officers dispatched just after 8:30 p.m. on reports of gunfire found a vehicle idling near the intersection, its driver unresponsive. First responders worked to stabilize the man and rushed him to a hospital, but he did not survive.
