Mauro Brito-Pacheco, 41, was shot and killed on August 10, 2009, while working at Tina's Hair Salon in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred when three armed suspects entered the salon located in the 900 block of West 24th Street to commit a robbery. During the incident, Brito-Pacheco, an employee at the salon, was shot by the assailants. He was transported to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
