Anassia Mone'e Wiseman, a 24-year-old Black/African American woman, was fatally wounded in a shooting on the night of June 22, 2025, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a passenger in a vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 394 near the Penn Avenue exit when shots were fired into the car at approximately 10:40 p.m. Another woman in the vehicle was also struck by gunfire, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.
After the shooting, the injured women managed to drive themselves to the
Hennepin County Medical Center. Anassia Wiseman had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and, despite receiving medical care, she succumbed to her injuries three days later, on June 25, 2025. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner officially ruled her death a homicide.
The Minneapolis Police Department is actively investigating the shooting, which they have described as a "roll up shooting," suggesting the gunfire came from another vehicle moving alongside them. As of late June 2025, no arrests had been made in connection with the homicide, and authorities had not released any information about potential suspects or a motive for the attack. Investigators have appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of those responsible for Anassia Wiseman's death.
