Jakevion Manuel, 15, male, Black/African American, was struck by a gunshot to the head on the night of Monday, September 15, 2025, in Greenwood, Mississippi, and later died in Jackson. He was a Greenwood High School student. According to local reporting attributed to the Leflore County coroner, the shooting occurred on the 400 block of East McLaurin Street around 8:50 p.m., while Jakevion Manuel, 15, was walking with another student.
