On May 29, 2023, 54-year-old Darnell Miles was fatally shot on Elzy Avenue in Greenwood, Mississippi. Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders reported that Miles suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene around 1:37 p.m.

Witnesses indicated that Miles was walking home from a nearby store when the shooting occurred. As of December 2024, no suspects have been arrested in connection with his death. The Greenwood Police Department continues to investigate the case ...Read More
