On May 12, 2025, Deonte Thrasher, age 30, male, was shot in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood while standing on a sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Thomas Street. A gunman stepped out of a black sedan around 6:45–6:46 p.m., fired, and fled east in the same vehicle, leaving Deonte Thrasher, age 30, male, critically wounded with a gunshot to the back.
