Jabari Cannon, 21, a Black male, was shot in Baltimore’s Fells Point just before dawn on July 3, 2025. A Central District patrol officer reported hearing gunfire around 2:48 a.m. on Thames Street and found Cannon unresponsive with gunshot wounds. Officers performed CPR until medics arrived and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The killing occurred along the busy waterfront corridor lined with bars and piers, a place that draws late-night crowds even on weeknights.
