On a late summer evening in Saginaw, Michigan, the life of 43-year-old Cortney Michelle King was tragically cut short. On Saturday, August 23, 2025, a burst of gunfire erupted in the area of Emerson and Howard streets, leaving a scene of violence and sorrow. First responders arrived at approximately 9:45 p.m. to find Ms. King suffering from gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a local hospital, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries.
