In the early morning hours of September 2, 2025, the life of Marcus Jerome Jones, a 41-year-old Black/African American male from Grand Rapids, was tragically cut short. Around 2:30 a.m., officers from the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to a call in the 400 block of Diamond Avenue SE, near Sigsbee Street.
