On a summer evening in Oxon Hill, Maryland, tragedy struck 31-year-old Deon Damien Thomas of Washington, D.C. On July 12, 2025, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Prince George's County police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway.
