On February 1, 2019, Nayel Shabex, aged 23, was found shot dead in a vehicle in Oxon Hill, Maryland. The Prince George’s County Police responded to a call at approximately 2:40 p.m. on the 5100 block of Deal Drive after receiving a welfare check request. Shabex was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite an extensive canvassing effort in the surrounding neighborhood for witnesses or leads, no suspects were immediately identified.
