In the early evening of June 12, 2025, a tragedy unfolded in the Allston neighborhood of Boston that would cut short the life of 15-year-old Phillip Franco. A male of Brazilian descent, Phillip was a student at Mary Lyon Pilot High School, known by those who knew him as a happy and beloved young man. Around 8:10 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the peace near 17A Gordon Street. When police arrived, they found Phillip outside 7 Pomeroy Street, suffering from a gunshot wound.
