Death by Force

E'leric Donae Lyon, a 24-year-old Black/African American woman, was shot and killed in the early hours of June 12, 2025, during a domestic incident inside a residence on the 3400 block of Clover Lane in Zion, Illinois. Police and fire crews were dispatched around 4:12 a.m., where they found Lyon and a man with gunshot wounds; Lyon was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lake County Coroner later identified her as Eleric Lyon of Beach Park and confirmed she died from multiple gunshot wounds.
