A night out in Lawrence, Massachusetts for 27-year-old Hugo Delrosario, a Black male, ended in tragedy in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 13, 2025. Just after 2 a.m., the vibrant sounds of the Acqua Nightclub on Essex Street were pierced by gunfire. Lawrence Police responded to calls of a shooting and discovered Delrosario on the sidewalk at 154 Essex Street. Despite the immediate response and life-saving efforts by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
