In the early hours of Tuesday, August 26, 2025, police were called to Marque Ann Drive in Baton Rouge, where they found Braxton Scott, age 38, a male, lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital and later died from his injuries. Detectives identified the victim as Braxton Scott, age 38, and opened a homicide investigation into the predawn shooting.
