On May 27, 2018, 35-year-old African American male Andre Guy of Slaughter, Louisiana, was fatally shot during a family basketball game in Baton Rouge. The incident occurred around 6:55 p.m. at 5473 South Afton Parkway. An argument erupted among participants, leading to gunfire. Andre Guy sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
