In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 29-year-old Donoven Bessie was tragically cut short. On June 20, 2021, police were called to the 1000 block of Monet Drive in the Lobdell/Woodale area shortly before 11 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Bessie in the driveway of a residence, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
